One of the most popular printers at this price point, the HP Envy 7645 surely does a lot to justify that popularity. Even though all-in-one printers at this price point can be unreliable at times, the Envy 7645 doesn’t fall into that group.
When you are looking for a new wireless printer and don’t want to spend a little fortune on it, it’s considered that you would use it occasionally. That means the printers in this price range are designed for home offices, college dorms, and other places where everyday printing isn’t needed. The HP Envy 7645 absolutely is that kind of printer.
Reliable, with a couple of other options besides regular printing, the Envy 7645 is a printer that will not set you back a lot, but still be a good-quality all-in-one printer for all of your needs.
Let’s jump into the full review.
The HP Envy 7645 e-All-in-one printer is designed for light usage, therefore it doesn’t have a lot of special features that some high-end printers have. That shouldn’t be a problem anyway, since it’s not designed and engineered for people that need the absolute best printing quality and need an everyday printer.
A great, reliable home office printer
The HP Envy 7645 e-All-in-one wireless printer should be at the top of the list of potential printers for those who need a printer for light usage. Its great design and print speed make it a nice addition to any office.
It’s one of the better printers for small home offices, with options for printing, faxing, scanning and copying. Armed with wi-fi and USB connectivity, it’s a convenient printer that lets you print from your wi-fi-compatible devices.
Construction and features
The HP Envy 7645 printer, since it’s designed for smaller spaces, isn’t huge and weighs only just over 25 lbs. That means it should comfortably fit in most offices and still shouldn’t take up a lot of space. The design is sleek and modern, with round edges designed to fit in any home office space. The 3.5″ touchscreen display is found right in the center of the Envy 7645 and that display allows you to configure your printing preferences. We were especially thrilled when we saw that the Envy 7645 has the automatic duplex feature, which is always a warm welcome.
The initial setup process takes up very little time, no more than 20 mins. It’s compatible with PCs and Mac devices. You can also print straight from your smartphone; just install the HP app and you are good to go. Quite convenient.
The thermal inkjet printing technology that the HP Envy 7645 uses, along with the 4800 x 1200 optimized DPI color (that’s the most possible) makes this printer put out some good-quality pictures and documents. Obviously, that’s not the best, but it should fit most people’s needs. It’s surely not recommended for photography enthusiasts and people who need the best printing quality possible.
It can print up to 14 ppm, which is a good enough speed and can prove in-handy when you find yourself in a hurry and need to print multiple pages, but for some large business places, that’s not quick enough. The HP Envy 7645 e-All-in-one printer uses HP’s 62 and 62 XL black and color cartridges.

With a quick setup and a fair price, this HP printer is very hard not to recommend to anyone that needs a reliable and affordable wireless printer for their home office. The printing quality is not outstanding, but it’s not bad either. It’s a solid all-in-one printer that any home office should welcome with open arms.
