This is a very simple process and it can be done in no time. To reset your Philips Hue Bridge to factory settings:

  1. While your Philips Hue bridge is powered on, remove the Ethernet cable.
  2. Now turn the bridge upside down.
  3. You will see a very small button with the words “restore factory settings” next to it.
  4. Grab a paperclip or something with similar thickness and press the button for 5 seconds.
  5. The LED indicator on the front will start blinking, and when it stops blinking, the resetting process is over.

If you are selling your Hue bridge, it is recommended that you reset it to factory settings before selling it.

When the bridge is reset, your Hue lights are forgotten from your network, and if you wish to use them on your network, you must connect them again.
